Capturing customer orders

As it was done before

Our building materials producer client received orders from its sales partners through a variety of channels. One partner made its orders available on its own portal in PDF format, which was continuously monitored by customer service colleagues, the documents were downloaded and the order data was manually recorded in SAP.

This is what happens today

Today, the arrival of orders is monitored by a robot and the PDFs are downloaded immediately. The data is automatically extracted from the documents then checked and recorded in SAP, the customer service department is notified by a robot of any incorrect orders.

Customer benefit

As a result of the robotisation, orders are entered into SAP hours earlier, allowing more accurate planning for production and logistics. The robot has freed up around 4 full hours a day for customer service.
