Every morning, our electronics manufacturing partner’s production planning engineer manually downloaded reports for production planning from SAP and other proprietary systems. The input data was then manually copied into the planning database.
At the scheduled time, the robot starts running and downloads SAP and other reports, performing various checks on them. It loads the data into the production planning database, and sends an email notification to the production planning engineer of successful execution.
The production planning engineer was given back 1.5 hours per day.
